Young Adult Ministry

Kit Martin coordinates the activities for Coventry's ministry for our young adults ages 14-19. A wide range of activities and ministries are available and includes weekly gatherings for fellowship and spiritual instruction/discussion. For more information, contact Kit through the church e-mail link.

"Young Men Roughing It"

Under the watchful eye of our men, young men between the ages of 3 and 12 participate in activities geared toward character building and spiritual formation. With this group, there's no such thing as a "typical meeting." Watch the website for news and upcoming activities. For more information, contact Kenneth Broadhead through the church e-mail link.

Food Pantry and Clothes Closet

Coventry Anglican actively supports many distribution ministries. While the majority of donotions will make there way to the "black belt" of Alabama during Parish Nurse monthly medical missions, we also provide limited distribution to local families in unexpected crisis. Donations are accepted at the church Sundays from 12:00 to 12:30, and varying times during the week at the lunch hour. Contact Fr. Jim or Fr. Russell through the church e-mail link to coordinate large deliveries.

Spiritual Recovery and Restoration Ministry

Coventry Anglican, since its earliest days, has been active in helping ordained and lay ministers from various denominational groups recover from ministry "burn out" and "being burned." The ministry is individually tailored to the needs of the minister and has included elements for whole families when necessary. Recovery occurs through a program of meditation, contemplation and prayer; while Restoration involves spiritual formation training, counseling, and liturgical pedagogy. Coventry partners with monasteries and retreat centers in Alabama and Mississippi as a part of the program. While Coventry does the majority of this ministry without cost to the minister, some portions may require small out-of-pocket expenses - especially when our cooperative retreat centers are involved. Coventry will also host on-going training and teaching sessions as part of this program. For more information, contact the Church at the church e-mail link or by calling Bishop Jones at 205-478-7444.
