Parish News
Summer has past, the trees have taken the color of the season, and the SEC continues to beat up on each other. The election showed everyone wants change (though we still don't know what the change will be) and the economy continues to take its toll on us individually and as a small church. Another year is coming to a close and new season in Christ's (catholic) church is to begin.
So, how have you done with last year's resolutions? How have you done in keeping up with your pledge to support your church? How have you grown in your personal relationship with Christ? How are you responding to all the change going on around you? Christ reminds us, in his own words, to remain faithful, hopeful, and diligent. Paul challenges us to run the race to completion. The prophet Malachi, speaking God's admonishment, tells us to not rob God and bring your tithes to the storehouse. The writer of Hebrews clearly speaks to the dangers of falling away from the faith. Is Christ and your church just a Sunday thing? My prayer is that He is part of your every breath - that your church and the fellowship of believers is precious and meaningful to you - that you not lose sight of all that God has done for you by leaving His throne in heaven to reconcile us to him.
The Lord be always with you...
